"I’ve been here twice already, and I’ll definitely be coming back for more! This place is super cool! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. The meat is so tender on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. Last time I ordered the Hire Katsu — it was perfectly cooked and incredibly tasty! All the staff (and possibly the owner as well) are super friendly and welcoming."

"Tucked away between a convenience store and a Korean restaurant, Okome Japanese Tonkatsu in Seminyak feels like a hidden gem. The seating is limited, but that’s what makes the place so cozy and intimate. Despite its size, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The food is absolutely delicious. My fav is their salad dressing (Japanese dressing and sesame dressing )both are perfectly balanced. A great spot if you are looking for comforting Japanese food in a cozy sett."

"A small cozy tonkotsu bar in sunset road area, my go to order has always been the Rosu Katsu Set. Majority their menu is a set, and a few options with noodle and rice. The owner expects you to order their set. Kinda understand why, bcos their seating is very limited, only 10 seats if not mistaken. So a minimum spend is required. If you order a set, you’ll be getting a bowl of miso, cabbage salad with a selection of sauce, a small pickle and of course the main course itself. Pork tonkatsu is juicy, soft, and tender, their curry rice is also great. Loved coming here and happy to be back anytime. Just be ready with min spend, 3 of us spent approximately around 550K for 3 dishes and 2 mineral water."

"Nuzzled between a small Korean restaurant and a Circle K; OKOME Japanese Tonkatsu is a comfortable & cozy, limited seating restaurant. There is also convenient and airy outdoor seating (3-tables with stools); indoor has bar-type seating overlooking the chefs and 2-tables that seats two persons. NOTE: This is NOT fast-food so don't be upset that you wait to get hot, fresh, & tasty food. Our order was: Hire Katsu Curry & Omelette ; Prawn & Hire Katsu Set with Omelette (which came with Miso soup). The Hire Katsu (fried pork tenderloin) was moist & tender and the outside crunch was just right. I really like the sweet sauce that is served with the prawn. We both appreciated that the menu wasn't overwhelming, which means that they can focus for expertise on the served dishes. Chefs & serving host were quite friendly and were able to answer any questions that we had. (If you have a negative-thing about dogs, there were three randoms chilling outside - - - they didn't bother us. Just step around them and go in to enjoy your meal and the Okome vibe.)"

"This very small restaurant opens twice a day, once for lunch and once for dinner. Seating is very limited, bar seating area and a couple of tables. Staff is friendly and prices at a medium price point for Bali. Food is really lovely here, try the pork dish, add some prawns. All in a bread crumb style. Very tasty with a variety of sauces. The Misu soup was also very good. Great food in a humble restaurant."

"The highlight was, without a doubt, the Tonkatsu sauce. It’s a bold claim, I know, but it was very similar to what I had in Japan. But then I looked over at my partner, Cheryl. While I was obsessing over the sauce, she was focused on something entirely different.. “The cabbage," she said, eyes widening a little. "It’s so crunchy." She was genuinely surprised by the texture of the chopped cabbage. Most people would push the garnish aside, but she found joy in the freshness of a vegetable that usually gets ignored. Sometimes, it’s just a really good sauce, a perfectly chopped salad, and the company of someone who helps you see the details you might have missed."

"We had the Cutlet Bowl and Katsudon here. Everything was absolutely perfect and delicious. The pork tonkatsu here is truly a hidden gem in Seminyak with premium juicy cuts and rich flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Hot ocha is free refill. The team is super warm and welcoming, we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Plus, we fell in love with Heli, the sweet white dog who always greets you with a smile! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A fantastic spot for comforting Japanese food in Bali. we'll definitely be back!"
